Like its 5.56mm counterpart, the MR762A1 is a direct descendent of the HK417 select-fire military rifles, in a semi-automatic configuration for commercial users. It is assembled utilizing US and German-made components and uses many of the same parts and assemblies developed for the legendary HK417 machine gun. The MR762A1 uses a proprietary HK closed gas piston operating system that virtually eliminates malfunctions common in direct-impingement gas systems, and yield much cooler, cleaner, lower-maintenance operation.
As HK celebrates its 75th Anniversary, there is a very limited opportunity to own a piece of history in the form of this specially-finished M762A1 rifle Cerakoted in the Flecktarn camo finish of Germany’s armed forces, the Bundeswehr. The Bundeswehr has fielded a wide array of HK weapons uninterrupted since arming the West German Army with the G3 in the 1950s, and there is no longer, or more valued relationship in HK’s history.
The rifle is tastefully and discreetly laser engraved with HK’s 75th Anniversary logo, packed in a custom-fitted quality polymer hard case, containing four 20-round magazines, a finished-alike HK fixed blade combat knife, and a 75th Anniversary coin.
